Lilit make-up for day to day is a job that most women exercise in their daily lives, however, few knows techniques used by professionals when highlighting features and colour the face to beautify. Surely you will think that these techniques are out of your reach and that only great stylists can access them to make up actresses and models. Nothing further from reality!
Follow these 5 easy steps that in a short time you will have incorporated into your daily makeup routine to highlight your features. All the stages that we will show you next correspond to the “base” phase of makeup, where you prepare the skin to be made up, apply a tone to unify the appearance of your complexion and apply blush, shadows and illuminator in strategic areas for “mould “your features.
- Apply base and light
Apply, as usual, a base tone similar to your skin colour for lilit makeup. We recommend that you use light bases and sun protection to care for your skin and look fresh. Next, with an illuminator one or two shades lighter than the one of your usual base, shade the parts that appear in the image: under your eyes and until the bone of the cheekbone, in a straight line along the edge of your nose and on the forehead in a triangular shape.
Once you have marked the areas you want to illuminate on your face, outline those that you will shade in a darker tone to sharpen your features as it appears in the image: on the upper part of the forehead, like a diadem that marks the beginning of your face; on the inside of the cheekbone, just where the skin sinks when you absorb your cheeks inward; on the lateral sides of your nose and on your chin. Do not be afraid to draw strong and well-marked lines that clearly delimit the shaded areas of the illuminated ones, in the following steps you will blur them for lilit makeup.
- Marked areas
Check that the areas of your face are well defined by light and shadow. If you have done it correctly, you should see it as in the image above. If your jaw or forehead is very prominent, you can extend the shading zone up or down to soften this predominant feature.
Applies blush just in the area that is free on the bone of the cheekbone between the illuminated and shaded areas. If you are very white you will have a better shade of peach; If your skin is matte, we recommend using a reddish tone; and if you are brunette, the ideal for you is a strong pink or fuchsia.
At this point, your face should look like the one in the image. What you must do to eliminate the sharp marks of colour is to gently blend each one of the areas in which you applied colour. For this, it is ideal that you use a firm foam knob and that you start in the lightest areas leaving the shadows for the end. When you are finished, do your eye and lip lilit makeup routine as usual.
